I’ve been feeling sick for the last few days as readers can tell. I’ve been taking naps throughout yesterday and missed the chance to keep the streak going because I lost track of time.
So I start a new streak. And on the US Birthday my conscience compels me to ask this question:
When did the United States become the Evil Empire?
My sense is that it happened after WWII with the formation of the CIA, though at this late date I can’t be sure.
I do know that Jesus was the Prince of Peace for a reason.
War does good for nobody involved and I’m not sure America has won any military exercise since the end of WWII regardless of what the propagandists would have us believe.
I am not a pacifist. It just seems to me most wars weaken all sides and nobody comes out better in the end. Of course, given enough of a long run everybody ends up dead.
And on that pleasant note I’ll end this first post of a new streak.
